Bob goes back to school!
|
|
The Food Gallery's proprietor, Bob Holman, has been invited to speak to Year 11 pupils of St John's School, Marlborough in April.
Bob, who has owned the successful Marlborough business since April 2006 with no previous experience, will explain why The Food Gallery was established and go on to cover items such as Fair Trade, buying locally made products, the importance of good eating, and how to buy the best chocolate!
Bob said "I'm delighted to have been asked to speak to the kids. I think we already know quite a few of them, they've got big appetites and are great fans of our chocolate brownies and fruit frappés. I'm really looking forward to hearing their views on Fair Trade and what they think healthy eating is all about. I really hope that they ask me lots of questions and that we can generate a good debate."
The talks will be delivered to two groups, on 22nd and 25th April and will form part of the pupils' Design and Technology studies. Bob will cover many topics, included in the current curriculum, thereby reinforcing the teachers work, as they will hear it from a business owners point of view, as opposed to simply reading about it, or hearing a teacher on the subject.
Bob has organised a quiz for his audience, with a surprise going to the winners.
